Visa Requirement

1. Passport with a validity of 3 months from the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States. It shall contain at least two blank pages to affix the visa and should be along with all old passport booklets. It shall have been issued within the previous 10 years. No alteration or handwritten amendment concerning the data page.
2. Visa Application form should be filled online & signed by the applicant as per passport (http://visa.government.is/) Hand written visa application forms are not accepted.
3. Photo Specification: 2 Recent Colour Photograph (Fresh ones i.e. NOT used earlier for any visa), 35mm x 45mm. White Background, Matte/ glossy finish, 80% Face coverage, Non-smiling face, without spectacles, no head covering unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background.
4. Confirm return ticket copies.
5. Hotel vouchers.
6. Travel Insurance as per Schengen specification, matching with ticket dates with risk coverage of Euro 30,000.
7. Colour photocopy of the valid passport - all pages of the passport are required. If there are any valid visas for Schengen or USA/UK/Canada/Australia (issued in last three years) in the old/cancelled passport then a colour photocopy of the visa pages and passport data pages are required.

If a Business person, then following documents are required:

1. Covering Letter on the business letter head, Addressed to The Embassy of Iceland, New Delhi mentioning the. Details of all applicants with name, passport number, purpose and duration of visit, expenses clause and to be stamped and signed by the business person.
2. Incorporation certificate of the company/ partnership deed/ proprietorship copy and GST copy of all 3 pages are required.
3. Company’s Income Tax Return of last 3 years.
4. Company’s 3 months original Bank statement with Bank Seal with Signatures and the name of the Bank Officer issuing the bank statement, with complete contact details of bank including the phone number.
5. Personal Income Tax Return of last 3 years.
6. Personal 3 months original Bank statement with Bank Seal with Signatures and the name of the Bank Officer issuing the bank statement, with complete contact details of bank including the phone number.

If salaried person (Employee), then following documents are required:

1. Covering Letter on the plain A4 size paper, Addressed to The Embassy of Iceland, New Delhi mentioning the. Details of all applicants with name, passport number, purpose and duration of visit, expenses clause and to be signed by the applicant.
2. Original leave letter on the letter head of the company stating the designation of the employee days of the leave and the letter has to be signed and stamped by the authorized person of the company.
3. months salary slip.
4. Personal Income Tax Return of last 3 years.
5. Personal 3 months original Bank statement with Bank Seal with Signatures and the name of the Bank Officer issuing the bank statement, with complete contact details of bank including the phone number.
